Fruits Rich in Vitamin C

    Fruits with a high vitamin C content boost the production of the amino acid carnitine. Carnitine plays a pivotal role in the processing of fat. It helps the body dilute fats, making them easier to flush out. Fruits with a high Vitamin C content include lemons limes, oranges, tangerines, guava, grapefruit and tomatoes.

They do contain a large number of calories, so limit your portion sizes to no more than a small handful.

    Beans and legumes are another great source of fiber. Some even offer a decent dose of protein while remaining low in fat and calories. Red kidney beans are a prime example.

    Chilies and other hot peppers contain an active nutrient called capsaicin. Capsaicin gives your metabolism a healthy boost for up to 20 minutes after consumption, helping you burn excess calories and fat.
