Check with your health care professional before starting a fast. Once you've received the all-is-clear from your doctor or health care professional, start the process.
2Mix lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper into the 8-oz. glass of water. Stir thoroughly.
3Drink 6 to 10 glasses of this mixture daily. Some advocate hot water and others advocate cold. The water temperature is not important; the ingredients are key to the lemon detox fast.
4Continue the fast for 7 to 10 days, but no more than 14 days.
