3-Day Fruit Diet

Research has shown that dieting when complemented with exercise yields phenomenal results. There are many fad diets available today that are not very productive in yielding the desired results. The best forms of dieting are usually healthy and leave you feeling vibrant rather than starving. Fruit diets are an effective form of dieting as they cleanse and detoxify the entire body system, making you feel fresh, light, vibrant and lively.

Protein Diet on Day One

    The first day of your diet should be primarily protein drinks to prepare your body for the next two days. Protein is high energy, and whey protein, which is a mixture of globular proteins in liquid form, should be taken at least five times a day in regular two-hour intervals. The whey protein drink is very healthy, fulfilling and satisfying leaving you content without any hunger pangs when following the diet regimen. For dinner, you should eat a large raw vegetable salad dressed with a teaspoon of olive or avocado oil.

Diet Plan for Days Two and Three

    On the next two days the diet consists primarily of fruits at least five times a day in regular two-hour intervals. You can eat fresh fruits of your choice but not those that are preserved, canned or refrigerated. Berries, plums, oranges, grapes and citrus fruits are helpful in cleansing and detoxifying the bodily system. These fruits also help you lose excess weight during this diet plan. You can lose as much as 10 pounds if you are obese. The fresh fruits help increase your metabolic rate, which in turn helps you burn as many extra calories as possible. You should have large plate of raw vegetable salad with olive or avocado oil and a protein shake for dinner on the last two days.

Drinking Water

    It is extremely imperative for you to consume minimum four tall glasses of water each day. Also every morning, for the three days it is advisable to drink a glass of lukewarm water with half a lemon squeezed into it to help stimulate the gastric juices in your system.

Exercise

    Walking outdoors or on a treadmill for a half hour to 45 minutes is beneficial if you wish to lose weight while following this plan of action. Rigorous exercise is not recommended as it would disturb the body balance when on a fruit diet. Exercise should be moderate and most of all you should enjoy it. Swimming, walking and yoga for a half hour a day is ideal.

Fruits

    You can eat any fruit of your choice during this diet plan. A few commonly recommended fruits are apples, cantaloupe, strawberries, plums and oranges. However, in case you are allergic to any particular type of fruit it is better to consult with a doctor for alternatives.
